Mila Kunis Says She & Ashton Started Off As F*ck Buddies

Once upon a time in 2011, both Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher stared in movies about friends who decide to become casual fuck buddies.

Hers was called Friends with Benefits and c0-starred Justin Timberlake, while his was called No Strings Attached and co-starred Natalie Portman. Both looked awful, but somehow managed to gross about $149.5 million.

Coincidentally, also in 2011, Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher, having both recently gotten out of long-term relationships, saw each other across a crowded room and also decided to become casual fuck buddies.

Today they’re married with a one-year-old daughter named Wyatt and a second child all the way.

Basically, their life is a modern day fairytale, and in a recent interview with Sirius XM, Mila told the story of how it all began.

“I don’t know if I should tell this story, I could get in trouble for it. We were in similar movies and we should have paid attention to them because this [casual fuck buddy agreement] doesn’t work in real life,” explained Mila. “We clearly didn’t pay attention and we shook hands on it and said we would just have fun.”

Because nothing says casual sex like a handshake.

Of course Mila had known Ashton since she was 16, back when That 70s Show first started filming, but she swears she never saw him as anything other than a friend.

“We’d always kept in touch but I never thought of him romantically. I was at an awards show and I see this guy and I see his back and he’s really tall, and I’m like, ‘Who’s that tall guy?”

“And then he just turns around and it was literally like if we were in a movie, the music would start playing and the violins would go…I think for the first time ever he took my breath away…I was like fuck, he’s good looking.”

In an even more romantic comedy movie twist, at the time, Ashton was actually planning on setting Mila UP WITH HIS FRIEND.

“He had planned to set me up with his friend. Long story short, I didn’t leave until the next morning. It was the first time I had stayed over a guy’s house when I was single but he didn’t want me to leave.”

Three months and numerous “we need to go and be single” talks later, they both came to the conclusion that they were perfect for each other.

“We started dating with the idea we both were never going to get married. He had just got out of a marriage and I had gotten out of a relationship. We shook hands on it and life was great. But we were in agreement that it was just fun. And three months later, I was like, ‘This isn’t just fun anymore.’”

So there you go.

Fairy tales are real and good luck looking at your next fuck buddy relationship in the same “this could never work out and I don’t even need to worry” frame of mind.
