FEATURE INTERVIEW:
Let’s start from the beginning… How would you describe your childhood and how did it influence your artistic vision?
My childhood was unique and full of lessons. Compared to many of my friends, I had fewer resources, but I always knew that one day I would be able to give my family what they had tried to give me: a good life beyond the material, with emotional stability and a progressive mindset. Even though I grew up in a dangerous neighborhood, my parents kept me away from negative influences through cultural and dynamic activities that sparked my love for art and music from a very young age.
Was there a specific moment when you knew you wanted to dedicate yourself to art or music?
Yes. It all started when I joined a project called Familias en Acción, where my love for singing was born. As a child, I performed at kids’ concerts in hotels, later joined a school choir, and eventually became part of Casa a Escena, where I both sang and danced.
What role does your cultural heritage play in your creative work?
It’s the foundation of everything. I always carry with me the humility and respect I was taught, along with authenticity in how I communicate and create.
In your lyrics and style, there’s a strong sense of sensitivity, but also a lot of strength. Where does that balance come from?
When I write, I write from what I feel — and often from what I imagine someone listening might be going through. My songs and content come from a place of emotional truth and identity.
How would you define your relationship with fashion?
Fashion has always been a fearless way for me to express myself. Since I was young, I’ve dressed how I want without caring about other people’s opinions. My outfits are a direct reflection of who I am.
Is there a designer, brand, or era that has particularly influenced you?
Between 2024 and 2025, I experienced a life-changing period — I reached goals I once thought were out of reach, collaborated with brands I considered unattainable, and gained the discipline and mental maturity that marked a clear before and after in my journey.
Do you think today’s artists need to be visual icons as well?
Absolutely. Fashion is as powerful a language as music. If you want to stand out, your image should tell a story as strong as your voice.
Is there a piece or look that you feel represents you more than others?
Yes — my long curly hair, vibrant colors, and crop tops. They’re part of my personal signature and how I want to be remembered.
How do you see your style evolving over the next few years?
It will remain distinctive, always starting with my hair as my visual trademark. I aim to become a true fashion icon while exploring many creative facets.
If you could leave a message for a young person who feels out of place but has something to say…
Take the risk. Don’t let that idea just sit in your mind — bring it to life. Discover who you are, and shine doing it.
