We’ve been keeping Kim Petras, pop’s newest princess, on repeat
On October 30th – aka Halloween Eve – we headed backstage at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles to hang out with pop princess, Kim Petras, as she prepared to open up for Troye Sivan’s Bloom Tour.

We took our time at the show to hang out with Kim and to capture her in her element — getting bloodied ready to perform.
The timing could not have been more perfect to see Kim perform songs off of her newly released Halloween mixtape, “TURN OFF THE LIGHTS VOL. 1.” You can listen to it HERE.
Have you ever heard of anyone making a Halloween song of recent years? A whole ass Halloween MIXTAPE? I knew we’d been blessed before I even listened.
After taking a listen, though, I was super into it. Like, for real. She makes Halloween music acceptable all year round. We may have been watching her perform the songs near Halloween, but I could listen to “Turn Off The Lights,” in August, tbh.
Now I am haunted at the fact that most artist’s haven’t attempted a Halloween album and I dub Kim Petras the queen of Halloween forever.

Kim’s Halloween mixtape isn’t the only dope work she’s put out. All of Kim’s songs from “Heart To Break,” to “I Don’t Want It At All,” have been major hits, particularly among the LGBTQ community. It’s hard to go anywhere in Weho without hearing someone blaring Kim’s bops (including my apartment).
I would describe Kim’s musical stylings as the bubblegum pop that makes you want to dance, but with complex, descriptive, and unique lyrics. She is an artist unlike any other out there right now, and her music proves that she’s extremely talented.

Kim killed it at her show in LA opening for Troye Sivan, and we wish her the best of luck on the rest of her tour. We can’t wait to see her headlining her own tour very very soon.
