Kim Kardashian Was Bad At Being Famous Until She Started Following These 5 Rules
Once upon a time in the late 2000s, Kim Kardashian was bad at being famous.
As she explained in a video released on her website/app, “Every time I’d go to the gym or go eat, every paparazzi would ask me questions and I would be like: ‘Hey Guys!’ Like, I so wanted the attention.”
While cynics would likely argue that little has changed in regards to her thirst for attention, it’s hard to argue that these days Kim Kardashian is great at being famous.
Why?
Because of a couple rules her bestie, PR executive Jonathan Cheban, made her start following.
“Jonathan was like, ‘This has got to stop. Do you think Victoria Beckham sits and does all these interviews? Do you think everyone else has smiles on their faces? You are too happy, you are smiling way too much. Put your sunglasses on. You need a whole makeover and you need to stop talking and stop smiling.’”
Cheban, who was sitting next to Kim during the video agreed.
“She was doing walking interviews! I was like, what are you doing?” adding that even her car was bad at being famous and needed a makeover.“You cannot drive around in that white Range Rover. It’s time for the next step.”
Obviously his advice worked out.
So, to sum it up, Kim/Jonathan’s rules for being famous are:
#1: Don’t talk to the paparazzi
#2: Don’t smile at the paparazzi
#3: Don’t look happy in front of the paparazzi
#4: Always wear your sunglasses in front of the paparazzi
#5: Never EVER be caught dead driving a white Range Rover
Look out, Kim. You’re about to have a lot more competition now that the rest of us know your secrets.
