Sorry Haters, Kim Kardashian Just Got the Forbes Cover She Deserves

This morning, Kim Kardashian got something she’s deserved for a while now: her own Forbes cover, showcasing her boss bitch accomplishments as a “mobile mogul.”

Haters, beware.

Kim Kardashian has officially become legit.

“It’s easy to scoff at this and pretty much everything else Kim Kardashian West does,” the Forbes cover story notes. “She has stoked the notoriety she gained from a sex tape a decade ago by sharing almost every detail of her life, begetting, like some nightmare mash-up of Andy Warhol and Groundhog Day, perpetually more fame.”

But you know what? It paid off for her, big time.

As the magazine notes, the app Kim Kardashian: Hollywood has been downloaded 45 million times, generating $160 million in revenue, $45 million of which has gone directly into Kim’s pocket.

And Forbes neglected to brag about all the money Kim’s brought in from her personal app, and her incredibly profitable Kimoji app, which yes, according to the NY Post was actually making “about $1 million a minute” when it first launched.

“I became really intrigued with the tech world,” she tells Forbes. “I started spending a lot of time in San Francisco. I realized this is really going to be the next cycle of my career and this is what I want to focus on.”

Much like the ridicule her husband has experienced from fashion insiders, it turns out the tech community wasn’t so welcoming of Kim’s foray into their world either.

“People looked at me in a way like, ‘Why is she stepping into the tech world? That’s not her territory! Stick to reality TV!’ I was like, ‘No.’ This is fun for me. Now I’m coming up with Kimojis and the app and all these other ideas. I don’t see myself stopping.”

And why should she?

This year alone, Forbes estimates that Kim made $51 million, which makes her the 42nd richest celebrity in the world.

Like Kim said on Instagram, “Such a tremendous honor to be on the cover of @forbes! I never dreamed this would happen and know my Dad would be so proud. #NotBadForAGirlWithNoTalent.”
