Kesha Says She’s Been Offered Freedom — If She Lies

Did you think Kesha’s battles with Sony and Dr. Luke couldn’t get any more depressing? Welp, you were wrong.

Yesterday, Kesha posted a photo to Instagram claiming that she’s been offered freedom from her contract if she revokes her allegations of sexual abuse against Dr. Luke.

Here’s what she captioned the photo:

so. I got offered my freedom IF i were to lie. I would have to APOLOGIZE publicly and say that I never got raped. THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS behind closed doors. I will not take back the TRUTH. I would rather let the truth ruin my career than lie for a monster ever again.

Huge bummer. Kesha deserves all the props in the world for continuing to speak out against this issue. Sony has yet to comment on these particular allegations, but we’ll update when and if they do (but don’t hold your breath…).
