Ivanka Just Got Her First Official Position in the Trump Administration
Well at least one woman is winning during this election.
Ivanka Trump was just appointed to be vice president of her dad’s executive committee advising the presidential transition. Her brothers, Donald Jr. and Eric, were also appointed to the committee.
Ivanka’s husband, Jared Kushner, is also on the committee, and he traveled with Trump and Melania to D.C. yesterday to official meet with the Obamas for the first time. Melania and Michelle sipped tea while the president and president-elect chatted one-on-one.
Vice homophobe Mike Pence was appointed to be chair the committee after NJ Governor Chris Christie was removed from the position and bumped down to vice-chair. Poor Christie, always the bridesmaid, never the bride.
Trump started building his transition committee over 100 days ago, but Christie’s removal was really unexpected.
Also, if you don’t know what the presidential transition committee is, the committee is supposed “to help prepare a transformative government ready to lead from day one,” according to a statement from Trump.
Wow, well aren’t we excited for that day.
