An Instagram-Famous Couple Broke Up and Their Fans Cannot Handle It
We regret to inform you, but prominent Instagram-famous couple Jay Alvarrez and Alexis Ren have broken up.
It’s a sad day for all us, but it’s especially tragic for their legions of fans who are literally beside themselves with grief, rage and disbelief right now.

See, Jay Alvarrez and Alexis Ren were one of those Instagram-famous couples that you love to hate.
They were both models, both tan, both blonde, and both equally committed to making people as jealous as possible that they found love and you didn’t.
Despite the fact that everybody loves to complain about Instagram couples, Jay and Alexis quickly began to attract a massive amount of followers.
Combined, they have over 10 million followers, which caught the eye of major advertisers like Hyundai and Exress who tapped the Instagram-famous couple to peddle their products to the masses.
But recently, Alexis and Jay’s fans have noticed something strange.
Their favorite couple isn’t posting pictures of themselves being a couple anymore.
The last picture Alexis posted of her and Jay that isn’t tied to a promotional campaign is from 15 months.
And the last picture Jay posted of the two of them is from 3 months ago.
A closer look into their lives revealed that Alexis and Jay have gone so far as to UNFOLLOW each other on both Twitter and Instagram and Alexis has even gone so far as to post a series of incredibly suggestive tweets.

While it may seem painfully obvious to some/most of you that all young couples, even the hot and Instagram-famous ones, will eventually break up, it’s important to remember that when you’re a teenager, investing too much in famous couples is just something that happens – like puberty and making heinous fashion choices.
Most of the time they’re actual celebrities like Justin and Britney or Justin and Selena, but hey, 2016 is weird.
Whatever your feeling, let’s all have a collective moment of silence for Jay and Alexis, the Instagram-famous couple that was.
