Elizabeth Taylor Made an Emo Makeup Tutorial Before YouTube Was a Thing
Makeup tutorials are very in right now, but did you know that back in 1974 Elizabeth Taylor filmed a step-by-step guide to giving yourself the perfect, “I’m either crazy hot or just crazy” smokey eye?
Well, she did and a video clip of it just resurfaced online.
The video is from what sounds like a forgotten classic called The Driver’s Seat, in which Elizabeth Taylor plays a mentally disturbed spinster who travels to Rome looking for somebody to murder her and features memorable exchanges like:
Elizabeth Taylor’s character: “If you think you’re going to have sex with me, you’re very much mistaken.”
Random fuckboy: “But I haven’t had my daily orgasm. It’s an essential part of the diet; an orgasm a day. If you miss a day, you have to have two the next day and that gives me indigestion.”
AND…
Elizabeth Taylor’s character: “Eh, excuse me, which way it is to the Hilton, please?”
Policeman: “Turn left and then keep straight.”
ET’s character: “Thank you. Ah, do you carry a revolver?”
Policeman: “No.”
ET’s character: “Because if you did, you could shoot me.”
They don’t make movies like this anymore, people.
