Doechii is having a busy start to the year, she’s just arrived at Milan Fashion Week and is already opening major fashion shows. Emerging from a giant bomb-proof tank to her song “Alter Ego”, Doechii stormed the runway at Dsquared2’s 30th-anniversary collection. Was this a shock? Yes and No, the brand is well-known for surprise openers such as Rihanna and Christina Aguilera. The presentation was staged outside of a fictional factory called DSquared2 Bros and Co. The rapper was dressed in one of the brand’s signature Canadian-style get-ups, complete with a belted corset, fur-trimmed bomber, and cigarette holster. Before the show, designers Dan and Dean Caten teased the big anniversary on Instagram by looking back at all the iconic female musicians they’d worked with (Madonna, Beyoncé, Britney, Rihanna), and now, with this co-sign, Doechii has unequivocally been added to that list. The Collection felt like a home-run for the brand, it was youthful and sexy but super wearable. The show saw big names like Naomi Campbell walking the runway.
