As any woman with a lot of money to spend would, Ivanka Trump placed a jewelry order from Brooklyn-based label Lady Grey. However, upon opening the packaging, she found a hilarious handwritten note addressed directly to her.
Lady Grey designers Jill Martinelli and Sabine Le Guyader decided to do something good with Ivanka’s money from the transaction. Here’s what they had to say:
Dear Ivanka, Thank you so much for your order! We’re happy to let you know that the proceeds of your sale have been generously donated to The American Immigration Council, the Everytown For Gun Safety Organization, and the Hillary Clinton Campaign. We hope you enjoy your new Lady Grey #helixearcuff.
Clearly, Lady Grey does not support Donald Trump or his policies. After Ivanka’s speech at the Republican National Convention, it makes sense that the designers would associate her with her father’s ideals.
“When we received her order, we instantly felt compelled to take the money and donate it to a few organizations that were more aligned with our ideals . . . We strongly feel that everyone and anyone can make a difference through actively supporting the causes that they believe in, no matter how big or small,” they explained to Refinery29.
