Beyoncé Is Releasing Something Huge Next Week On HBO
Even though Beyoncé seemed to have a good time at Coachella last year, this year Bey couldn’t give less of a shit about the two-week music festival extravaganza, which is why she’s releasing a secret project on HBO next week.
Sorry about it Coachella kids, but while you’re dancing it out to Zedd, the rest of the world will be watching Beyoncé make history.
Unsurprisingly, there’s little we know about the secret project, besides the fact that it’s airing on April 23 at 9 p.m. and is being called “Lemonade.”
In the minute-long trailer, we see a pensive Bey, her hair braided and her body enveloped by fur, completely lost in thought.
As she tells us, “The past and the present merge to meet us here,” we’re assaulted with brief glimpses of the images whirling around in Bey’s head: Beyoncé in a white, strapless gown (which could be a wedding dress), raindrops, fire and storms brewing across an open field.
Amidst the imagery, Queen B mysteriously adds, “Why are you hiding? Why can’t you see me? You are the love of my life. Every fear. What am I doing? Pull me in.”
The stream of images ends with Bey, wearing a yellow dress and wielding a baseball bat, as she smashes a New Orleans Police Department Security Camera.
While there are obviously a lot of things “Lemonade” could be, our bet’s on the world premiere of the visual album that’ll accompany a new album, which for all we know could be called “Lemonade.”
Either way, no matter what “Lemonade” turns out to be, all eyes are gonna be on Beyoncé Saturday night.
Get ready to eat your heart out, Coachella.
