Paris Fashion Week Just Gave Birth to Leggings With Built-In Shoes
In all the hullabaloo over Kim Kardashian’s no good, horrible, very bad Sunday, it completely slipped our minds to check in on what Demna Gvasalia, the man behind the overpriced wonder that is Vetements, sent down the runway for Balenciaga.
This was a mistake, because this show was straight out of a New York nightmare in the most fabulous way possible.
There was a latex coat that either looked like a condom or a piece of unrolled pasta depending on how dirty your mind is:
Handbags so big that if somebody accidentally hit you with it on the subway, you might have to go to the hospital:
And most importantly, pants that are also boots:
Are they cool? Are they terrible? Honestly, I can’t decide!
My gut tells me day-glo spandex anything is automatically a no no, but my heart tells me they’re fabulous.
But I can tell you this for sure: they’re going to be an absolute BITCH to put on.
You’ve really outdone yourself this time, Demna.
