FEATURE INTERVIEW:
What was it like growing up in Italy?
Growing up in Italy was like living in a beautiful painting. The culture, the history, the food—it’s all so rich and vibrant. I was surrounded by art and creativity from a young age, which sparked my passion for the entertainment industry.
The sense of community and the importance of family also played a huge role in shaping who I am today. My family has been my foundation for my journey. My mom Stefania and my grandma Antonia had a pivotal role in my journey. There’s a certain warmth and authenticity in Italian culture that I’ve carried with me throughout my career.
How did you go from living in Italy to working in Hollywood?
It was a journey filled with determination and a bit of serendipity. I always had a dream of working in the entertainment industry, and I knew that Hollywood was the place to make it happen. After finishing my studies in Italy, I moved to Los Angeles by myself when I was only 17. I started networking like crazy but most importantly I started to live my most authentic truth and built a solid foundation of who I was as a person first, and my own identity in this world.
I took every opportunity that came my way, no matter how small. Over time, those small gigs turned into bigger opportunities, and eventually, I built a name for myself. It’s been a wild ride, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
If you had to give yourself a job title, what would it be?
I’d say I’m a “Creative Conductor”. I love bringing together all the elements of a project—whether it’s music, design, or marketing—and orchestrating them to create something beautiful and impactful. It’s about finding the harmony between different aspects of the industry and making sure everything works together seamlessly.
Back in 2022 you produced and consulted on Kat Graham’s Worldwide Long Hot Summer Tour, orchestrating over 30 shows across 12 countries. And you’re currently touring again this year with a 62+ shows world tour. Talk to us about how this opportunity came about and what all you did for this tour.
Working with Kat is an incredible experience. The opportunity came about through our shared vision and passion for creating memorable experiences for fans. For the Long Hot Summer Tour, I was involved in everything from the initial concept and planning to execution on the road.
It was about ensuring every show was unique and special. This year’s tour is even more ambitious, and my role involves coordinating logistics, working on stage design, and making sure that every aspect of the tour runs smoothly. It’s a massive team effort and seeing it all come together is incredibly rewarding.
You also spearheaded the graphics and design for Kat Graham’s album “Toro Gato.” When you do projects like this, where do you pull inspiration from?
Inspiration comes from everywhere—nature, art, fashion, and even the people I meet. For “Toro Gato,” I wanted to capture Kat’s bold and eclectic style. I spent a lot of time understanding her vision and translating that into visuals that would resonate with her audience. It’s a collaborative process, and the goal is always to create something that feels authentic and true to the artist’s identity.
For creatives struggling to find and grow their audience, what advice do you have for them?
Stay true to your voice and don’t be afraid to take risks. Authenticity resonates with people more than anything else. Utilize social media to connect with your audience on a personal level and consistently put out content that reflects who you are.
Collaborate with others and learn from every experience. Most importantly, be patient and persistent. Success doesn’t happen overnight, but if you stay committed and passionate, you’ll find your audience.
You are working on launching an app designed to offer a new platform for artists globally. From what you can share with us, talk about the process of creating it and what this platform will offer.
The idea for the app came from seeing the challenges artists face in getting their work seen and heard. The process of creating it has been intense but exciting. We’ve been working on developing a user-friendly interface that allows artists to showcase their work, connect with fans, and collaborate with other creatives. The platform will offer tools for promotion, networking, and monetization, all designed to empower artists and help them thrive in the digital age.

You also recently launched your own music label. What inspired you to take this step? And what do you hope to build with it?
Launching my own music label was a natural progression of my career. I wanted to create a space where artists can have creative freedom and support to bring their visions to life. The inspiration came from my desire to nurture talent and provide a platform for voices that might not fit into the mainstream mold. With the label, I hope to build a community of diverse artists who push boundaries and create music that speaks to people on a deep level.
You’ve worked with the likes of actors, wellness gurus, and producers throughout the industry, but if you could work with anyone who would it be?
There are so many incredible talents out there, but if I had to choose, I’d love to work with Madonna. She’s not only a phenomenal performer but also a visionary artist who continuously evolves and pushes the boundaries of creativity. Collaborating with her would be an absolute dream.
What does being PROUD to be mean to you?
Being proud means embracing who you are without apology. It’s about celebrating your uniqueness and standing tall in your truth. For me, it’s also about advocating for others and creating spaces where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued. Pride is about community, love, and acceptance, and I’m honored to be a part of it.
Send a message for pride, acceptance and embracing who you are to other people out there that might see themselves in you and your story.
To everyone out there who might see themselves in my story, know that your uniqueness is your strength. Embracing who you are is one of the most powerful things you can do. Pride is about celebrating every part of yourself and recognizing that you are valuable and worthy just as you are.
Surround yourself with people who uplift and support you, and never be afraid to show the world your true colors. You have a place in this world, and your story matters. Keep pushing forward, stay true to yourself, and remember that you are not alone.
How will you be celebrating Pride Month this year?
This year, I’ll be celebrating Pride Month by participating in various events and supporting LGBTQ+ organizations. I’ll also be spending time with friends and loved ones, reflecting on how far we’ve come and how much more there is to do. It’s a time for joy, but also a time to remember the importance of continuing the fight for equality and acceptance.
Walk us through your current skin care routine.
My skincare routine is all about keeping it effective with my schedule and with my travel routine. I start with a gentle cleanser, followed by a hydrating toner. Then, I use a vitamin C serum by La Roche Posay to brighten and protect my skin. I finish with a good moisturizer and sunscreen during the day. At night, I might add a retinol treatment and a bunch of other products to make sure my skins feels fresh and clean after a long day. And, of course, staying hydrated and getting enough sleep are key!
What’s next for Alessio Filippelli for the rest of 2024?
The rest of 2024 is looking incredibly exciting. I’m continuing to expand my music label and working on launching an app for artists. There are also several new projects in the pipeline with some amazing talents that I can’t wait to share. Plus, more tours, more collaborations, and always looking for ways to innovate and inspire. It’s going to be a busy but fulfilling year, and I’m looking forward to every moment.
