A Sonic Collision of Energy and Intimacy in Parker Grace Murphy’s “DO 2”
Roaring synthesizers, with intentional, gripping, disruptive noise, only to then take an unexpected turn into calmness, are at the heart of DO 2, the debut single from singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Parker Grace Murphy.

The emerging artist left nothing to chance, drawing on her full range of skills to make her mark on digital platforms, creating a track that feels more like two musical journeys than a single release.
After the initial impact that invites listeners to dance as if fully immersed in a rave, everything shifts at 1:28. Following an almost silent transition, the piano takes the spotlight, softening the energy to an almost whisper with a delicacy that’s hard to achieve.
That contrast is no accident. Parker began her musical training at the age of five and, after more than fifteen years of exploration and learning, mastered the balance between the rawness of synthesizers and the fragility of the piano.
Her personal story also reflects that diversity: from Chicago to California, with stops in Bali and London, the artist absorbed cultures, sounds, and languages that now shape her unmistakable style.
The turning point came in Los Angeles, when she joined the Los Angeles Academy for Artists and Music Production (LAAMP), where she worked under the guidance of figures like Diplo, Benny Blanco, Kenny Beats, and the duo Stargate. That experience, together with her versatility as a songwriter for other artists, helped mold a project determined to break away from labels.
With DO 2, Parker opens the door to a sonic universe where rave energy meets the intimacy of piano, all tied together by synths handled with the surgical precision of a Formula 1 car. With such a powerful entry, Parker Grace Murphy faces only one challenge: living up to the sky-high expectations she’s already set.
