Who Decides War SS26: Reading the Room, Wrecking the House
Ev Bravado and Téla D’Amore turned damask wallpaper into denim dreams, proving Americana can be both haunted and high fashion.
The collection oscillated between haunting and hot. Blue striped shirting looked ghostly yet wearable, while gray double-breasted suits came embroidered with sentences that read like confessions across the chest. Denim, as always, was the house’s beating heart—redefined yet again through patchwork, distressing, and a sense of Black Americana that made it feel both nostalgic and radical.
Leatherwork added armor: sleek racing jackets, scalloped coats with croc and crystal textures, and slip dresses paneled like shards of stained glass—one of the label’s recurring signatures. The finale swelled into full drama with shredded white gowns, tulle layered like fog, and a runaway-bride fantasy that looked equal parts rock star and fallen angel.
Set against a live performance by Leon Thomas, the show reached a crescendo as music and fashion blurred into one charged vision. Who Decides War didn’t just show clothes; they staged an elegy for the past, while sketching out what the future of American fashion could look like. It was haunted, yes—but hauntingly beautiful.
