Vogue Is Throwing Its Own SXSW and Here’s What to Expect

Festival season is coming and Vogue is trying to get in on it. The Vogue Festival is a 3-day event taking place in London this May, featuring a “myriad of fashion and beauty experiences” hosted by celebrities, journalists, industry influencers, and Kim Kardashian.

Her panel, titled “Fashion, Friendship, and Fabulous Lashes” is to be hosted with Charlotte Tilbury — of the popular make up and skincare line beloved by all Kardashians — and it sounds pretty weird.

“Kim Kardashian West and global make-up artist Charlotte Tilbury reveal to Vogue‘s Fiona Golfar how they bonded over a shared passion for make-up,” the website reads. ” [They] discuss its transformative powers – and ask whether their husbands should ever see them without it.”

Her event, which only takes place one of the three days, is already sold out. The rest of the panels and workshops feature designers like Isabel Marant and the Dolce and Gabbana duo, and a bunch of Vogue editors talking about how to break into fashion journalism. The mysteriously ever-famous Alexa Chung will host “The Ultimate Style Clinic,” which Vogue is literally presenting as the “most entertaining style clinic in the world.”

Another option is to purchase a “Gold Ticket” which offers guests the “privilege of a personal tour of the magazine headquarters at Vogue House by the magazine’s editor-in-chief, Alexandra Shulman.”

Weird? Yes. Worth checking out, if just to understand where the state of fashion, per Vogue is? Maybe. I’d probably go on acid, like how the South Park creators did at the Oscars in 2011. Tickets, priced around 80 euro per event, are still available, so if you’re around Kensington Gardens this May, please go, and bring me back some knowledge, and maybe a Vogue tee-shirt. It’s included with the price of your ticket.
