@VanityMakeup Shares Festival Season Pro Tips

Meet Vanity!

She’s a Los Angeles based pro makeup artist with a website full of all the makeup tutorials and product reviews a girl could ever need.

From the biggest misconception about being a vlogger to her 3 favorite beauty products at the moment, Vanity answers some of our favorite #GaloreGirl questions below.

What is the best aspect of creating content (blogging, vlogging, etc)?

Waiting to see the response from your followers and fans. Especially when you are introducing something new that your audience hasn’t seen. Their feedback always guides me to what I’m creating next!

What does your audience mean to you?

Everything! Without my audience, I wouldn’t be close to where I am with my career today! They are definitely my motivation and inspiration to create more and think bigger everyday.

What do you think is the biggest misconception about being a vlogger?

I think every vlogger will agree with me on this one: it’s harder than you think, but gives you the most adrenaline-filled emotion! It’s actually very tiring and stressful to try and create perfect content for your followers to watch and enjoy, especially knowing that they are waiting for the work. It makes me want to deliver even more. Of course, at the end of the day, I must admit all the stress and dark circles are definitely worth it!

What are 3 products you’re obsessed with at the moment?

This is so hard for me right now! I have so many products that I’m obsessed with. But if I had to pick 3 from my daily go to’s, they would be Estée Lauder Double Wear because it’s gives you full coverage, Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer because it creates the perfect brow, and Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder because it sets under eye concealer and liquid foundation. Also, it can be used on all skin tones.

You’re going out for dinner and drinks with the girls. What color lipstick are you wearing? Any particular brand?

Kylie Lip Kit, of course. My favorite shade is “Koko J” because it’s the perfect cross between pink and nude. And it comes with its matching liner.

You’re going on a date and you’re going for sultry lashes. Do you choose strip lashes or extensions?

Strip lashes, always. I’ve never liked lash extensions. It’s too complicated to maintain and it doesn’t have that super intense look that strips can give you. I must admit, one of my favorites is the Huda Beauty Lashes, my personal favorite favorite is the “Samantha” lash.

It’s festival season and you’re shopping for bronzer. Which one do you buy?

Benefit Hoola Bronzer.

You’re about to be on long flight. What product do you never fly without?

La Mer Moisturizing Soft Creme is the best moisturizer ever. I also use the La Mer Gel Creme Moisturizer in the summer for a lighter feel.

Skincare tips? Secrets?

My number one rule is to always wash your makeup off before you go to bed. This way the makeup doesn’t sink into your pores even more at night causing breakouts. You always have to let your skin breathe! Also, moisturizer all over the face every night to keep your skin hydrated is a must.
