Sunset Strip Staple The Viper Room Has a Clothing Line Now

If you’re a sucker for comfy vintage-y clothes, Los Angeles’ famed rock n’ roll club, the Viper Room, has just released a radical exclusive line of apparel designed by Roxie Amoroso of Las Vegas-based Exile on Main Street and Cowtown Guitars.

If you’ve never been to the Viper Room, you may know it as a little club styled in a jazzy 1920s theme that Johnny Depp opened in the 90s in the heart of the world famous Sunset Strip. It’s dimly lit and intimate setting, with only room for 250 rock-music-loving souls has seen the likes of many famous celebs and singers alike, some of which include Johnny Cash, Lenny Kravitz, Weezer, the Strokes and more.

For those of you history-loving gals, the club has been rumored to have formerly been a mobster hangout of Bugsy Siegel and Mickey Cohen in the 1920’s called “The Melody Room.” It was then reopened in 1993 by partial owner Johnny Depp, and is currently owned by Darin Feinstein who purchased it from Depp in 2004.

For those of you more morbid fans, you might also remember outside the club on Halloween night in 1993 is where actor River Phoenix took his last breath…. But let’s not dwell on the weirdness of the past, but instead celebrate that we can now show love in comfort and style to one of the most fun rock clubs in LA. And BONUS, it’s also home to one of my favorite girls-night-outs, punk-rock karaoke!

The full line of vintage-inspired tees, hats, hoodies, and more from the Dark Side of the Sunset Strip are now available worldwide at www.shopviperroom.com
