FEATURE INTERVIEW:

How does it feel to be the star of such a luxury fragrance with YSL Beauty?

It’s an incredible honor to be the star of such a luxurious and iconic brand like YSL Beauty. The brand has always represented timeless elegance, creativity, empowerment, and to be part of this legacy feels both exciting and deeply humbling. It’s a powerful reminder that dreams do come true with passion and perseverance. Being able to represent such an iconic fragrance like Libre feels surreal and inspiring, it encourages me to keep pushing boundaries and embracing my own unique style.

You’ve been making waves as a musician and actress. How does this collaboration fit into your journey? This collaboration feels like a natural extension of my journey.

For me, everything is interconnected – music, acting, fashion, and beauty are all forms of self-expression. Partnering with YSL Beauty allows me to explore a different facet of creativity and artistry. It’s all part of the same journey of pushing boundaries, telling stories, and embracing authenticity in everything I do.

The fragrance is called “LIBRE FLOWERS & FLAMES.” What’s your personal take on its vibe?

For me, ‘Libre and Flames’ embodies a sense of empowerment, rebellion, and above all, freedom. It’s a fragrance that makes me feel unstoppable, as if I can break any boundary and fully embrace who I am. There’s a fiery intensity to it that resonates with my own desire to live life on my own terms, fearlessly and unapologetically.

How do you think this campaign will inspire your fans, especially Gen Z?

I think this campaign will resonate with Gen Z because it’s all about embracing individuality and authenticity. This generation is fearless when it comes to breaking norms and expressing themselves, and I believe this project encourages them to keep doing that. ‘Libre Flowers and Flames’ isn’t just a fragrance, it’s a statement of power, freedom, and confidence-values that I hope will inspire people to be unapologetically themselves and pursue their passions with full force.

What’s one thing you learned from being part of this high-fashion world?

In the world of high fashion, I’ve learned the value of patience. Each step in this journey has its own pace, and it’s important not to rush. I’ve also discovered that authenticity is profoundly valuable. Being genuine in who I am and what I represent has not only helped me find my place but has also attracted the right people, those who truly appreciate and value authenticity. It’s a constant reminder that staying true to yourself is the greatest gift we can offer.

Any sneak peeks into what’s next for you?

I have some exciting projects on the horizon that I can’t wait to share. I’ve had the chance to work with people I’ve admired for years, including directors with a deeply vision. I’m especially proud to be representing unconventional stories and characters that truly resonate with me. I always seek roles that move me profoundly, ones that touch my heart and bring out genuine emotions. It’s about doing something different, but more importantly, something real and authentic that truly feels alive.

How do you balance your work in music, acting, and now fashion?

Balancing music, acting, and fashion is easier when you’re doing what you love and working towards your dreams. Passion fuels my energy and keeps me motivated. Each aspect of my career complements the others, and when you’re deeply connected to your work, it doesn’t feel like a juggling act-it feels like living your dream.

What is your ultimate beauty philosophy?

My beauty philosophy has always been to feel as comfortable as possible in my own skin. I believe that true beauty lies in confidence and being at peace with yourself. For me, it’s about highlighting what’s already there and embracing our authenticity, because when we feel good about ourselves, it reflects in our presence and how we interact with the world.

How is your creativity disrupting the Latin X landscape of fashion?

My creativity is already breaking barriers in the fashion world by proudly embracing my Mexican and Latina heritage and highlighting the beauty of it. I’m committed to telling stories that are often avoided, challenging norms, and showcasing the richness and diversity of our experiences. I’m here to offer authentic and honest representation and to inspire others to feel proud of their identity and share their own stories with courage. My goal is to open doors and create a space where everyone feels seen and celebrated for who they truly are.
