A Lana Del Rey Song About Sexting on A Blackberry Just Leaked
Kim Kardashian isn’t the only one who was really obsessed with her Blackberry.
So was Lana Del Rey, and the newest leaked track from the Lana called “BBM Baby” basically proves that the moody goddess was into sexting on her Blackberry.
Which is good, I guess, because we didn’t have iCloud back then. So way to be ahead of the curve (get it? like Blackberry Curve), Lana!

But this track has been highly anticipated and rumored for years, and ever since 30-second snippets of this track were leaked two months ago on Twitter, Lana stans have pretty much been on the edge of their seats waiting.
The first time the Lana fandom heard about this song was in 2011, via an interview on FILTER Magazine with DJ Penguin Prison, in which he said he worked with Lana on the song, confirming that it was recorded in 2011 before the “Born To Die” sessions.
FILTER asked him about working in the studio with Lana, and he name-dropped the track:
“Well the studio as in my home studio. She came over and we worked on a song a while ago. It was called BBM Baby, I guess it was about her Blackberry Messenger… I met her like 2 years ago and hung out with her a bunch in London and New York. She’s funny, she’s a very entertaining person to hang out with, and she has a wonderful singing voice.”
But keep your eyes and ears open, because this demo isn’t the final version of “BBM Baby” because this version is what’s called the “Ugly Version.” There is a more finalized and produced version somewhere hiding on the Internet. Who knows when it will leak.
In the meantime, I genuinely cannot stop listening to this track because it’s so freaking catchy.
