Kim Shui SS26: Layers of Seduction at 1,250 Feet

From python slips to tulle-veiled tailoring, Kim Shui proved that restraint can be just as daring as the reveal.

For Spring/Summer 2026, Kim Shui literally took her vision to new heights—staging her show atop the One World Trade Center Observatory, 120 floors above Manhattan. Known for her unapologetic sex appeal, Shui shifted gears this season, offering a more reserved—but no less sensual—take on the female form.

Inspired by the 17th-century painting Allegory of Inclination, Shui translated the idea of layered concealment into fashion: sheer tulles overlaying corsetry, lace-up blazers veiled in gossamer, and capris trimmed with delicate lace. The effect was like a Strappo painting peeling back its layers—revealing without ever fully undressing.

Colors moved from earthy nudes and muted pastels to serpentine greens and airy blues, while silhouettes balanced lingerie structure with flowing ruffles and bohemian ease. The Shui woman this season wasn’t screaming her power—it was whispered, restrained, and all the more magnetic because of it.

What emerged was proof of Shui’s evolution: she can still deliver sex appeal, but with a new intelligence that makes the sensual feel cerebral. In other words, Kim Shui doesn’t just dress women—she unveils them.
