Kesha’s Entire Case Against Sony And Dr. Luke Has Been Dismissed

A New York state judge has officially rejected Kesha’s case against Sony, TMZ reports.

Just after rumors that Sony Music decided to drop Dr. Luke, the producer whom Kesha claims acted as her “master,” the judge has chosen to side with the label. The judge dismissed Kesha’s allegation because, as TMZ reports, Sony did not force her to work exclusively with Dr. Luke. Yes, Kesha has failed to get an “emergency order” to release her from her contract with the music label.

The judge also rejected Kesha’s allegation that she was victim of a hate crime: “Although [Luke’s] alleged actions were directed to Kesha, who is female, [her claims] do not allege that [Luke] harbored animus toward women or was motivated by gender animus when he allegedly behaved violently toward Kesha.” He concluded: “Every rape is not a gender-motivated hate crime.”

Only a few days ago Kesha revealed that she was offered freedom “if [she were] to lie” and “apologize publicly and say that [she] never got raped.”
