Kara Neko’s Secrets To On-The-Go Makeup
Kara Neko, aka @indianpython, knows a thing or two about makeup.
While we all want nothing but time to devote to looking perfectly polished, the reality is that we do what we can, as quickly as possible. Whether we’re standing in line at a music festival, late to drinks with our girls, or trying to get our daily workout in, fast beauty fixes are always helpful. In the Q+A below, Kara reveals some of her biggest secrets to on-the-go makeup, fitness, and skincare. Here’s what she had to say:

The most important beauty product to pack in your bag for festival season?
Sunblock infused moisturizer! My skin errs on the dry side, but Aveeno’s Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer has been keeping me both lustrous and sun protected for years. Skipping this part of my beauty routine during festival season would be a big no-no.
What’s your biggest tip to healthy skin? A tip you can use anywhere at any time?
Get your daily dose of water, fruits and veggies! These things make a world of difference. I would also suggest going barefaced as often as one’s comfort level allows.
What on-the-go skincare products are you in love with right now?
For the past two years, I’ve had a love affair going strong with Tarte’s BB Tinted Treatment Primer. It’s done wonders for the health of my skin as a barely there foundation.
What’s your favorite drugstore product?
CoverGirl’s Professional Natural Lash Mascara, Clear 100.
How do you keep your hair so healthy?
There are a few things. First and foremost, I never ever heat style my hair, Secondly, I get my hair trimmed about every four months. Lastly, I’ve invested in the perfect shampoo and conditioner duo for my hair type. I use Lush’s I Love Juicy Shampoo and Veganese Conditioner.
If you could only do one quick workout forever, what would it be?
Squats!
What nail polish color would you be?
Dark red… Essie’s Wicked to be more specific.
Do you have an emergency pimple fixer… something that works overnight?
Undiluted tea tree oil is the pimple zapper of all pimple zappers.
You’re going out for dinner and drinks with the girls, but you’re late! What color lipstick do you apply in the car on the way over?
No lipstick. My go to is Classic Cherry by Chapstick.
You’re going on a date and you’re going for sultry lashes. Do you choose strip lashes or extensions?
Extensions!
It’s festival season and you’re shopping for bronzer. Which one do you buy?
Tarte’s Amazonian Clay Matte Waterproof Bronzer is oh so summery.
Your brows got waxed a bit too thin… and you have a date in 1.5 hours. What product do you use to fill them in?
