Featured Interview:
Tell us your philosophy on beauty
Do whatever makes you feel beautiful but just make sure you’re moisturized!
What makes you a rebellious creator
Asking what people think then doing what I want because sometimes their answers are stupid.
What is your morning beauty ritual?
I wake up, play my favorite song on my speaker, and start dancing while I get ready. Gotta activate the serotonin babyyy.
When did you first start to experiment with beauty?
Does bra stuffing count? If so that was in 6th grade but facial beauty when I was in 5th grade. I didn’t have makeup but I would always put Vaseline or lipgloss on my eyelids before school and pretend it was glossy eyeshadow. I felt like a beauty guru.
How is your creativity disrupting the culture?
I feel like I’m just a down-ass b!tch. Like I always want to try something new because why not I am young and turnt I need something to look back on when I’m older so I can brag to my granbabies and say ya grandma was that GWORL back in the day!
As a black woman, what is one beauty hack that you swear by?
USE TONER before moisturizing your face. I feel like some people think it doesn’t help but trust me you want ur face snatched a bit before getting to that bag OK.
What is your ultimate beauty secret
drink water and don’t be a hater. And I’m so FR, minding your business is also a bonus.
What makes a great model?
Being flexible, literally and figuratively. Gotta try new poses even if it feels silly and don’t be afraid to be the first.
What campaign have you done that you are most proud of
Definitely my BohooxBarbie campaign because it was my first billboard campaign and I just love passing by it on the streets or having friends sending it to me in NY/Paris.
Dream campaign and photographer to collaborate with?
I’d love to do a Crest or Colgate campaign it’s been on my list for years now. I’d also love to be shot by David LaChapelle his photos are so iconic and it would be an absolute DREAM.
Lip gloss or lipstick?
Lipgloss all the wayyy! Extra points if it’s Fenty gloss.
What makeup brand do you swear by?
NYX and Fenty! They literally do not have a product I’ve disliked.
What advice would you give your 16-year-old self?
Don’t let other people’s doubts and opinions stop you from trying new things!
How was it preparing for this shooting?
Honestly, it was very smooth. I already knew most of the team so we were able to have so much fun and still shot some amazing photos!
Can you tell us about you?
Well for starters I’m never beating the fabulous and gorgeous allegations. I’m also really good at minding my business, I’m definitely a cat person but I love all animals. So like I’m a pretty cool person but you’d just have to meet me to find out for yourself 🙂
Give us a secret
Most times I don’t pay for water at the airport. It should be free in my opinion so I made it free for me. I mean I paid for the flight soo this really just my get back.
(iconic!)
What song is on repeat for you at the moment?
“Hellcats Srts” by Sexyy Res
What is next for you on this journey?
Traveling the world and meeting new and different people. I’d like to move to Europe for a few months and get out of my comfort zone.
