Chanel Has Feminism Trending
It has been trending for quite a while at this point but Karl Lagerfield made it a fashion trend. Apparently feminism is now in style so we better all start dressing the part. Karl is known for his social commentary already (Native American head dresses and gas can shaped purses anyone?), but this statement seemed both timely and empowering though a few of the signs (boys should get pregnant too? not sure that’s possible) were a bit odd. With Gloria Steinem inspired glasses and signature tweed jackets, the feminist march at Chanel was a far cry from the much discussed supermarket show of the spring, and we are more than ok with that.
