How’d you get into fitness?

My dad actually got my siblings and I into tae kwon do when I was 8. I loved watching “3 Ninjas” and “Rocky” when I was younger so I thought it would be so fun to learn how to defend myself. I started going to the gym with my mom when I was about 11. It was always very therapeutic to me to workout. I know. I’m one of the weird ones.

As a kid what did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to be a secret agent in the CIA fighting bad guys and saving the world of course. Who didn’t?

What are five essentials you must have in your fridge?

Oh man, my friends will see this and laugh because I never have anything in my fridge. I’m that person that walks to the grocery store and buys whatever I’m craving. In an ideal world I’d have almond butter, kombucha, blueberries, turkey, and lemons. I do always have lemons.

What are some of the best workouts for putting in minimum effort and getting maximum results?

Stability workouts! Doing leg lifts while stabilizing yourself on a stepper. Using your inner thighs to lift and lower your leg instead of your quads. As long as you’re focusing on what muscle you’re working, you can do any workout and get benefits from it. The problem is when people push themselves so hard without proper form. That’s how you injure yourself.

What’s the first thing you do in the morning?

Pray and drink hot water with lemon.

What’s the biggest misconception about you?

If they don’t know me probably the same misconception that most models get. That I’m vain. I’ve actually never taken a selfie! I was such a nerd growing up with video games and anime. Modeling happened because I ended up winning a couple national model searches that I was encouraged to enter. I didn’t really care about looks. I’ve always just tried to be a kind person.

If you could have dinner with one person dead or alive who would it be?

Joan of Arc. She’s such a role model. She’s a woman who was courageous, strong, and never gave up. I would love to learn from her.

What’s your #1 pet peeve?

When people misuse “your” and “you’re” or :”they’re,” “their,” and “there.”

When’s the last time you lied about something?

I actually gave up lying. It feels so good! I think the last time I lied was to some guy I was sitting next to on a plane a couple years ago. I used to make up stories because, I mean actors love that, so I told him I was an executive at a corporation. He was shocked because I’m so young. If you’re reading this, I’m sorry!

What’s the biggest thing you hope people learn?

Always try to better yourself mentally, physically, and spiritually.

What small aspect of your day to day life do you hate and wish you could skip out?

Blow drying my hair! It takes forever!!!

Where do you hope to be in a year?

Modeling for a major makeup company, shooting for Guess, and traveling the world.

What is your most treasured possession?

I have a stuffed Pikachu I’ve had since I was eight. I remember it was expensive at the time ($25) and my mom said she’d only buy it for me if I promised to play with it every day. I carried it with me everywhere. It’s a reminder to me of the importance of a promise and to always have childlike hope.

What’s the one question you’re sick of hearing?

Is that your real hair? Yes. People only ask me this in Los Angeles though haha.

If you could have one superpower what would it be?

I really want to say something involving lightning but I’d probably go for a healing power. To recover someone if they were hurt or injured.
