Blaze Wilde: Building a Public Identity from Dubai to LA
By: Matthew Kayser
In many parts of the Middle East, men grow up with clear expectations about how
they should dress, speak, and present themselves. Tradition, culture, and religion
often shape a narrow public image. This leads to little room to “break out” in a big
way. For some, that structure provides stability. For others, it can feel limiting.
Blaze Wilde has built a public identity by stepping outside those expectations. Born
in March 2000 in the United Arab Emirates, he began modeling in Dubai at 17 and
built a social media presence that reshaped how many people view Arab identity in
fashion and pop culture. Today, he lives in Los Angeles while working as a model
and influencer whose content blends cultural roots with a modern, global mindset.
“I’ve always liked being in front of the camera,” he says, recalling childhood videos
his mother recorded. “I was always opinionated, so I shot my shot.” That early
confidence led to scouting opportunities and campaigns in Dubai with international
clothing brands. Soon after, he started sharing his daily life online. “People liked it,”
he explains, “and I switched to being an influencer because it’s more impactful.”
A Voice Formed in Dubai
Dubai shaped Wilde’s sense of possibility. The city’s mix of Middle Eastern culture
and global influence gave him space to explore style and identity while staying
connected to where he came from. “Dubai is my forever favorite city,” he says.
At the same time, Wilde felt the weight of expectations placed on men across parts
of the region. “Getting out of the expression jail,” he says, “and being able to use my
brain and express myself freely,” became a personal goal.
From Model to Influencer
Wilde’s modeling work gained attention, including campaigns for brands such as
H&M and Christian Louboutin. His audience grew across platforms, with strong
followings on Instagram and TikTok. International figures such as Paris Hilton, Nicki
Minaj, and Yara Shahidi followed his accounts.
Wilde noticed that people responded not only to the images but to his fun pop content. That message resonated with young viewers across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, the United States, and beyond.
Challenging Stereotypes Through Style“You can be Middle Eastern and still express yourself freely,” Blaze insists, “whether
it’s through fashion, language, lifestyle, or, for me, what you create.”
This perspective informs how Wilde presents himself online. His content promotes
individuality while remaining respectful of his background. He describes the move to Los Angeles as a step toward greater freedom. “Taking the risk of leaving everything behind was a big challenge that I could overcome.”
Living Between Two Worlds
Today, Wilde credits both Los Angeles and Dubai for making him who he is. “I aspire to be an example for every person who fears expressing themselves due to traditions or any other factor.” For Wilde, influence is not only about numbers. It is
about showing what is possible when you find yourself and use your brain.
