ALABASTER INDUSTRIES UNVEILS LATEST COLLECTION: “OF UNDETERMINED ORIGIN”

Alabaster Industries has launched their newest collection, “Of Undetermined Origin,” now available at Dover Street Market locations in LA, NYC, London, Singapore, Ginza, and Paris, as well as on the Alabaster Industries website.

This stunning lineup features three new models of their iconic sterling silver watches, accompanied by matching jewelry. Drawing inspiration from calligraphy, venomous creatures, and healed scars, the collection seamlessly blends Alabaster Industries’ signature design DNA with elevated horological quality.

Each piece showcases Swiss automatic movements, pad printed dials, and custom hands, all housed in 36mm cases for a refined, inclusive fit. Movement details include Sellita SW200-1, hacking movement, 26 jewels, and a 38-hour power reserve. Notably, this is the first time Alabaster has introduced new watch designs outside of their core collection (Dove, Sinew, Hawk, and Core).

The new designs—Silver Pike, Silver Adder, and Silver Trench—are also available in bracelet form for each design. The collection includes a special edition Silver Dove with pavé set natural garnets. While Alabaster’s previous signature models are now archived, the Silver Dove model returns in this collection as a special edition piece with pavé set natural garnets.

Collection Highlights:

Silver Pike: Inspired by scarification and calligraphy, this sterling silver motif is aligned vertically, pulsing and swelling organically, reminiscent of healed skin over an old wound or an ink brush passing over a page. Available in a range of colors, this watch evolves the Alabaster “Silver Dove” DNA into a new iteration. The Pike model is also available in a bracelet-only form.

Silver Adder: A sleek watch mirroring the irregular shapes of a viper’s scales. The pattern gives the feeling that the dial, featuring signature reticle-style hour markers, is one large snake eye. The Adder design morphs into a thinner fifteen-millimeter bracelet that wraps around the wrist and is also available in a bracelet-only form.

Silver Trench: Inspired by vintage shrapnel guards made for World War I military watches, the Silver Trench features thickened bars creating a cage that obscures the view of the dial and hands. The cage flows into the bracelet, where the irregular patterned grate tapers around the wrist. The Trench design is also available in a bracelet-only form.

Alabaster is particularly proud of the inclusive sizing and the transition to Swiss movements, underscoring their commitment to quality and luxury craftsmanship. The collection’s overarching message, “Of Undetermined Origin,” encapsulates their mission to create timeless, heirloom objects.

Every watch in this release features Swiss automatic movements, pad printed dials, and custom hands. Inclusive sizing via smaller case diameters has been a long term goal for Alabaster. All dials in the collection feature the message “Of Undetermined Origin”. A mark indicating Alabaster’s mission to create heirloom objects. The text conjures up mystery and the familiarity of being acquainted with an ancient artifact.
