You Actually Need to Be Cleaning Your Blow Dryer

Have you ever cleaned your blow dryer vent? Don’t worry… me neither.

If you’re like most people, you probably didn’t even know your blow dryer vent had to be cleaned. Hate to break it to you, but it’s actually a major necessity.

If your blow dryer vents become clogged, the air simply won’t blow as hard. Ever wonder why your hair takes longer to blow dry than it used to? Yup, the reason is you… and your lack vent cleaning.

Ultimately, cleaning the vents will make your blow dryer work at maximum power and will improve upon its lifespan. Because if the filter gets too dirty, your blowdryer could burn out. And that sucks.

Cleaning it is super simple tbh. The “air intake” located on the back of the dryer can easily screw or pop off. Once opened, you’ll notice a ton of lint trapped inside. Then you’ll cry.

But don’t freak out too much! Try using your fingers or a pair of tweezers to clean the lint filter on top of the vents. You should aim to do this about once a month.
