What made you want to start your own business?
I never really thought about starting my own business – it just sort of happened – and there I was, running a company.
Who are some strong female role models who have inspired you?
Fiona Apple, Vivienne Westwood, Patti Smith, Lee Bontecou
The word bitch can be empowering yet demeaning. What is your take on it?
I don’t really like that word – I don’t think it’s empowering, I think it’s mean.
What is your inspiration behind the new collection?
The new collection is very clean and modern. We focused a lot on old Sci-Fi films and futurist art.
First piece of jewelry that changed your life:
My first pair of dangly gold earrings that my mother got me when I was a little girl – I lost one and spent days digging through the carpet for it. I never found it and since then I’ve been wearing mismatched earrings.
If you could design the wedding ring for any big celeb who would it be and what would it look like?
Fiona Apple. It would be simple – but unique – probably with an opal.
