A$AP Rocky Debuts at Paris Fashion Week With His American Sabotage Show, And Potential Hint at Ray-Ban Collaboration?
A$AP Rocky, the noticeably stylish rapper and mogul, founder of creative agency AWGE, has added fashion designer to his long list of talents with his PFW Debut of American Sabotage on Friday June 21st, held at what we hear is Karl Largerfeld’s former house, Hotel de Maisons.
The Rap Icon, Style Icon, Fashion Icon, and partner to the equally impressive fashion mogul Rihanna, did not disappoint in creating a wow factor. American Sabotage, the show collection, featured 30 meticulously crafted looks designed with the help of Joshua Jamal, Bede Marchand, and Coucou Bebe.
At the runway show, A$AP Rocky featured exclusive new, classic, and archival Ray-Ban sunglasses in the show, the perfect pairing of iconic fashion and new era style. Perhaps this means a collaboration is brewing between the pair? It certainly hints at one, especially with Rocky himself donning oversized Ray-Ban Mega Wayfarers the entire evening.
Several models sported the latest style to drop today, the Mega Balorama, which was its exclusive first debut. The Optical Olympians in Gold Metal also debuted. The Mega which Rocky wore we are told is a bolder revisitation of the classic icon. An ideal match for Rocky.
The Olympian is straight from the 60s archives, launched for speed enthusiasts, and the other one is a bolder revisitation that brings the wraparound silhouette to the next level for 2024 – both wraparound styles.
Leonardo Maria Del Vecchio, Ray-Ban recently appointed President and notable Italian entrepreneur, was seen backstage pre-show with Rocky for finishing touches on the models that featured the eyewear, then was seen front row with his fiance model Jessica Serfaty. Rocky celebrated post-show with a fleet of Ace of Spades ready to go, celebrating into the late night hours in Paris, Ray-Bans still clad to his face and a bomber from his collection.
