6 Beauty Hacks For When You’re Running Low On Product

Got an interview tomorrow and barely noticed your chipped nails? Running late to a date and can’t find your deodorant? With our super packed work days and bustling social lives, it can be tough to find the time to hit up CVS and replenish our go-to stash of beauty products. Luckily for us, there exist alternatives that you can straight up find in your kitchen. Check out our list below:

1. Help! I forgot my deodorant…

It happens to the best of us, but with the summer heat, we need toΒ make sure our pits are smelling FRESH. Just like baking soda keeps the stink out of the fridge by neutralizing odor-causing acids, it can also work to keep you stench-free. Mix a little with water and rub it all over your underarms and you’ll be good to go! Alternatively, you can use coconut oil for its anti-fungal properties.

2. When you don’t have polish remover…

Try spritzing some hairspray on your nails and rub, rub, rub. Perfume also works, but only if you don’t mind sparing your most favorite scent.

3. When you run out of toothpaste…

Baking soda is your friend! So rub a little on your toothbrush and you won’t have to worry about your foul breath. Baking soda is also a natural teeth whitener, so that’s a huge plus.

4. When you forget to buy facial toner…

We all know that washing makeup off our faces is super important, but applying toner is the finishing touch for perfect skin. When you’re in a bind and running low on toner, don’t be afraid to try Apple Cider Vinegar. This multi-purpose elixir does have a funny stench, but if you dilute it with water it won’t be so bad. It’s anti-bacterial, so it’ll help fight acne while leaving your skin brighter and tighter.

5. When you can’t find your lotion…

Coconut oil is another elixir and can work even better than lotion since it’s all natural. Just take a few scoops and rub deeply into your arms and legs. It also helps combat wrinkles, bacteria and of course, dry skin.

6. When you’re running low on body scrub…

Ground coffee beans work just as well as any body scrub. And since they’re anti-inflammatory and loaded with anti-oxidants, it really is a win-win. Plus, who doesn’t want to smell like a fresh cup of joe?
