20 Unforgettable Songs from 2016

In 2016, there were many bops we danced to, twerked to, and sang to all day and all night. Many good albums came out this year such as Rihanna’s “ANTi”, Kanye West’s “The Life of Pablo”, and the long anticipated album “Blonde” by Frank Ocean.

But out of all the songs, which ones are we going to sing 10 years down the line when waiting to pick our kids up from school? Which songs this year will you turn up when you hear it on the radio? Or will forever be on your workout playlist or to remind you of this great year and the many shitty or awesome memories you had. Here is a list of  20 songs we will never forget to shake our asses to.

This duo by beauty Rihanna and zaddy Drake worked it’s way all the way to 2 Grammy nominations as well as 18+ other nominations.

2. “Reminder” by The Weeknd

I believe The Weeknd wrote this song and this whole album to remind all of us he is still boss and still as talented as ever.

3. “Father Stretch My Hand Pt.1” by Kanye West

At one point or another during this year, we all know we screamed “IF YOUNG METRO DON’T TRUST I’M GON SHOOT YOU!” Gotta love Kanye for this song because we can all feel liberated by singing it at the top of our lungs.

4. “Panda” by Desiigner

Let’s just say even though we don’t know 90 percent of what he said, we will forever be chanting “PANDA! PANDA! PANDA!”

5. “Black Beatles” by Rae Sremmurd

Whether you used this song for the mannequin challenge or just to simply shake your butt to Gucci Mane’s verse, this song was one of the biggest songs of 2016.

6. “3 Strikes” by Terror Jr.

The mysterious band Terror Jr. made their way to the top of the charts with this bop after Kylie Cosmetics featured it in their commercial.

7. “X ” by 21 Savage

Everyone this year was bopping with 21 and Future because glowing everyday is making us stunt on all our ex bitches.

8. “Juke Jam” by Chance The Rapper (ft. Justin Bieber)

Listening to this song makes you reflect on your youth, and in the future, it will let you reflect on 2016.

9. “Wonderful” by Travi$ Scott and The Weeknd

One of the hits on Travi$’s “Birds in The Trap Sing McKnight” album. This song 5 years down the line will surely remind you what a wonderful year it has been.

10. “Controlla” by Drake

I don’t know about you guys, but my summer was centered around this song. The dancing, shimmying, parties and car rides with this song. It will forever serve as a reminder how lit summer 2016 was.

11. “Formation” by Beyonce

This song had everyone and their best girlfriends feeling invincible and badass the whole year. I hope I am the only one who got up the morning and put on this song and felt like Beyonce.

12. “One Night” by Lil Yachty

This catchy and sick song got Lil Boat the attention of Kanye West, Young Thug, many more amazing artists, and the world.

13. “Telephone Calls” by A$AP Mob

One of the teasers from the album from A$AP Mob that is a tribute to A$AP Yams. The song includes Tyler The Creator (one of my favorite rappers), Yung Gleesh, and up and coming talented Playboi Carti. This song surely unforgettable.

14. “Hi Roller” by Lil Uzi Vert

One of the many hit songs on Lil Uzi Vert’s mixtape “Lil Uzi Vert vs. The World” rose Lil Uzi to stardom in the rap world and with popular music. Everyone and their mother I knew had this song on repeat, and so did I.

15. Caroline by Animé

This hit got the attention of Kylie Jenner, Jimmy Fallon, and girls like me who felt like a bad thang when this song was blasting in 2016.

16. Nada by Leaf (ft. Lil Yachty)

With cutie Leaf climbing to the top of the charts with her bangs and signature style this song surely didn’t disappoint me in summer 2016. Sang it with my friends because all my bitches do look like models and slaying.

17. “Goosebumps” by Travi$ Scott

Like many songs in 2016, I screamed at the top lungs with this song. What sets this song apart is I screamed it the loudest and danced the hardest.

18. “Sex With Me” by Rihanna

This song no matter who sang it or where you are, every girl in the world who heard this song know they felt sexy and hot as hell. Thanks to mom Rihanna we can all feel as sexy as her.

19. “Baecation” by A Boogie Wit da Hoodie

As if the word “bae” wasn’t already huge, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie comes in 2016 and makes a bop that everyone sang this year.

20. “Uber Everywhere” by Madeintyo

In a year where the app Uber sky rockets MadeinTYO makes a song that makes the app even more popular. This song still has people dabbing and whipping up to now made it the Billboard 100 Charts at number 51 and is of the number one songs of my 2016.
