We’re Reminded How Much We Miss Brandy

Alert, Alert! Producer Rodney Jerkins let slip that he’s working with Ariana Grande and Jessie J on a cover of the beloved ’90s hit, “The Boy Is Mine” for a special project reimagining past hits. The internet about threw up because the Brandy and Monica hit is “untouchable”. Now we really don’t know how to feel about this but it certainly does bring up some strong feelings…feelings of love. Yes, a love for Brandy. Turns out our Brandy fandom never died. She has managed to keep herself relevant throughout the years from her early “I Wanna Be Down” days to fairytale royalty, sitcom stardom and a number of records under her belt. But we really miss the classic era of ’90s R&B ruled by princesses like Brandy and Aaliyah. Brandy, we still hold a torch for you and boy is the flame stronger than ever as we take a look back at our favorite Brandy anthems. Good luck Ariana and Jessie, you’re gonna need it.
