Tune Darling: Model Gia Genevieve On Marilyn Monroe, Mimosas And Being A Bombshell!

Model/blogger Gia Genevieve stopped by the studio to talk Marilyn Monroe and being a bombshell as a part of our new series with Absolut Tune! Scroll down for the interview!

What inspired you to become this pinup bombshell?

I was always fascinated by the beautiful fashions of the 40’s and 50’s. My body type is reminiscent of the curvy starlets of that time and it’s been a dream come true being able to recreate the style and glamour of that time period.

Who are some of your favorite female starlets?

Jayne Mansfield, Diana Dors, Dita Von Teese, and Marilyn Monroe of course. Of todays starlets, I’m a huge Christina Hendricks fan. Sofia Vergara is also a favorite of mine. She reminds be of a much sexier Lucille Ball.

How did you come up with your name?

My name is a shortened version of my first name, Argia, and my middle name is Genevieve. I think it flows nicely.

What’s your favorite Absolut Tune Cocktail?

I love the Tune ScrewDriver  Mimosa, best Mimosa mix ever! Has twice the bang as a regular mimosa.

What is your favorite Marilyn Monroe movie?

Gentleman Prefer Blondes. Marilyn says some of the most hilarious things in that movie. “Don’t you know that a man being rich is like a girl being pretty? You might not marry a girl just because she’s pretty, but, my goodness, doesn’t it help?”

Madonna, Marilyn Monroe or Jayne Mansfield?

That is a very tough question because they are all wonderful in their own way. I’d have to say Marilyn though. I fell in love with her through her movies.

What do you have coming up in 2014?

I couldn’t be more excited to see what 2014 has in store for me! I Just signed with Wilhelmina NYC Curve which is a dream come true. This will be new for me because everything I have done I have booked on my own so it will be interesting to see what levels Wilhelmina can help bring me to.
