We all know nothing brightens up an Instagram post like pastel pink or a cool grey hair. But what Insta doesn’t show is the damage that can come with technicolor hair.
Especially if you have naturally dark hair, dying it a punky color could change its texture permanently.
But sometimes it’s not your hair that’s the problem, it’s the dye you’re using. Most hair dye is full of rando chemicals and shit you don’t want in your precious hair, not to mention ammonia, peroxide, and bleach.
But one of our fave brands, Lime Crime, just launched a new crop of cray-colored hair dyes that contain none of the aforementioned hair killers. In fact, the dyes are all completely vegan, and they’re conditioning so that your new purple — or green — hair stays soft af.
They’re also semi-permanent dyes rather than permanent hair dyes, which means it won’t lift your existing hair color once it fades out.
The dyes are currently available in 13 different shades, all bright af and with fun names. I mean, who wouldn’t want to dye their hair a shade called “sext,” am I right?
Plus, even broke bitches can enjoy a non-damaging dye job. These dyes are legit only $16. Like, for real.
Granted, you have to purchase the bleach separately (if you are planning on bleaching your hair), but considering how much a trip to the salon costs, this is still a huge bargain.
Oh, and did we mention everything is vegan? I think that counts as a win/win/win.

Howdy, friends! I hope you have had a fabulous 2022 so far. I’ve been leaning into healthy habits since January. Trying to cut out unhealthy, processed foods, getting outside more, doing yoga and meditation daily, and saying “no” to stuff that doesn’t serve me. This month’s obsessions are all about chilling out (EG: a THC-infused
