FKA Twigs and Robert Pattinson Dance Away From The Racist Haters
I’ll click on anything that advertises pictures and videos of newly-engaged FKA Twigs and Robert Pattinson. Their coupling continues to intrigue me, and I guess the rest of the world sort-of agrees with me. Except in a racist way. Back in September, when the couple first started dating, Jezebel reported on the racist Twitter trolling that FKA Twigs was receiving on her account. The singer responded to the comments on her own Twitter, saying, “I am genuinely shocked at the amount of racism that has been infecting my account the past week.” and, “Racism is unacceptable in the real world, and unacceptable online.”
Today, Gawker posted an article, “Watch Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs Bond Over a Mutual Love of Dance”. We knew FKA Twigs was a badass dancer, but here’s a video of Robert Pattinson next to her, moving around strangely to Drake’s performance at Coachella this weekend.
Remember the scene in Save The Last Dance where Kerry Washington tells Julia Stiles that she doesn’t approve of her dating her brother (Sean Patrick Thomas), because he’s one of the few African-American guys in their community to go to college? This is kind of like that:
I know that the abysmal comment section of any blog page is not the most accurate depiction of a general world view, but it’s fascinating (and f*cking awful) to witness affirmation that no matter who you are, haters really are going to hate. F*ck ’em! Keep strangely dancing away from the haters, Twigsy and R-Patz—and enjoy whatever drugs you seemed to be on while doing it.
