#ManCrushMonday: Teen Wolf Hottie Talks Punk Rock and Golden Girls
Men really can be dogs sometimes, but in MTV’s Teen Wolf, the men are something a bit more fierce.
Specifically, they’re sexy werewolves, with one played by none other than Dylan Sprayberry. Before playing Liam on Teen Wolf, Dylan guest-starred on Glee and even played a young Superman in Man of Steel. When he’s not busy baring his teeth as a nightcrawler, you can catch him at a punk rock show or riding his skateboard. We caught up with Dylan to talk music, makeup, and girls.
To set the scene for you: Dylan is rocking a black cowboy hat and heavy flannel as he sits down at a huge wooden table for dinner in Daniel, Wyoming, when he answers our Qs.
There’s 15 feet of snow on the ground outside and he’s spent his day riding his snowmobile through the endless acres at Double J Ranch. He’s about to dig into his hearty dinner of grass-fed steak, fried gizzards, and corn.
Punk rock is good for you, huh? Who are your favorite punk bands?
It is! Black Flag, Minor Threat, The Stooges, Neck Deep, The Story So Far, and of course Blink 182.
What are some good shows that you have been to lately?
Actually, I have been exploring local music, chilling at The Smell.
What song should Galore add to our sex playlist?
Gold Steps — “Neck Deep.”
You played a young Clark Kent in Man of Steel, who was your favorite superhero growing up? What do you have in common with that superhero?
Plastic Man 😉
Who’s your celebrity crush and why?
Betty White. I mean, have you seen Golden Girls?
You had a pretty scary Halloween costume this year…guessing you didn’t meet any girls that night, or did you?
You would be surprised to know how many girls are into clowns.
What’s the best part about playing a werewolf on Teen Wolf?
I get to practice my Corey Taylor.
Do you have to undergo heavy makeup for the times where you are a full blown wolf? If so, does it give you appreciation to girls makeup skills, or does it scare you?
I do. And ya know, a wolf is a wolf, makeup is makeup. Just do you.
What would you be doing if you weren’t acting?
I’d start a band.
