To Tease Or Please, That Is The Question
How do we manage to let ourselves go and become utterly vulnerable these days while also making sure not to get hurt?
It’s actually one of the toughest things to do. Besides making a pair of new tights last more than a week. Or grabbing your metro card out of your wallet while holding two cups of coffee. Or navigating the streets without an umbrella when it’s pouring and you can’t catching a f*cking cab.
But the beginning stages of a relationship are always tricky. You want the guy to know you’re interested, but that he hasn’t completely won you over. And you want to show him your sweet side, but also let him know that you’re not a push over and can school him in the art of sarcasm.
Finding this perfect balance is key, but also a pain in the ass. Especially if you really like the guy and wish you could ditch the games all together.
First tip of advice would be making sure not to come off as too easy. If you jump at every available moment to hang out with your man then he’ll become bored. There’s no chase, there’s no prize, you simply turn into his doormat.
Especially if you make him your main focus and drop everything to see him. Give it a few days. Same can be applied to texting. Play it cool. You don’t want to constantly be blowing up his phone to hang out or sending new texts if he hasn’t responded to you in a timely manner.
Another piece of advice is not to come off as too cold. Yes, the too cool for school act is sexy as hell and leaves the perfect amount of mystery, but it can also give off the impression that you’re not girlfriend material. You’re probably more side chick, hook-up buddy material. Which really sucks if you’re actually looking for love.
But in today’s world where being the nice girl can come off as easy and boring and the cool girl is banished as undateable- the perfect mix will get you the guy every time.
