Taylor Swift is getting sued for allegedly jacking 3LW’s lyrics
Taylor Swift’s legal woes never end, y’all.
Taylor Swift sued, was sued against, and won, in her sexual assault case against a Colorado DJ earlier this year. But she just can’t seem to get out of the court room. She is now being sued by the writers of 3LW’s 2001 hit “Playas Gon’ Play.” They claim she ripped off their lyrics in her 2014 hit “Shake It Off,” according to People.

The writers, Sean Hall and Nathan Butler, allegedly noticed something fishy when they heard Swift’s lyrics:
Cause the players gonna play, play, play, play, play
And the haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate
It sounded too close for comfort to them, since their lyrics are:
Playas
They gonna play
And haters
They gonna hate
Y’all know that artists needs to credit other artists when it comes to lyrics or melodies. If Robin Thicke and Ed Sheeran can get sued by Marvin Gaye for debatably jacking a melody, it seems like these songwriters might actually have a shot.

Taylor Swift’s rep doesn’t feel the same way though. In a recent People article he said, “This is a ridiculous claim and nothing more than a money grab. The law is simple and clear. They do not have a case.”
Y’all musicians better watch out, cause there are snakes in the grass out there.
