Taylor Swift Is Having A Book Published, You Could Be The Honorary Author
Taylor Swift has had an incredible year. She just capped off her 1989 tour and received 7 Grammy nominations, and publisher Simon & Schuster is planning to commemorate Swift’s milestones in a scrap-book style publication to be released on October 24, 2016, the 10-year anniversary of the release of her first album, Taylor Swift. The book will contain a collection of magazine profiles and various other write ups of the singer taken from the past decade of her career, and most importantly, will give a few fans the opportunity to be a part of this publication. SwiftFanBook.com is holding 3 competitions, a chance to come up the title, with a prize of $2,500 and something notable to add to your copywriting resume, the “honorary author” competition, which will win you $10,000 and your name on the inside jacket, and the responsibility of attending signings and media appearances. Lastly, you can submit your cover design for the $5,000 prize. The website also has an option for you to submit your ideas and photo with the publisher, and who knows, they might actually publish your content. While this book probably won’t earn a spot on our coffee tables, we can’t help but be a little curious to how the crowdsourcing will work out, here’s to hoping it comes out more of a heartfelt collection versus a creepy Taylor Swift obsessed tumblr in book form.
