Our Favorite #GIRLBOSS Just Stepped Down

Say it ain’t so! Nasty Gal Founder/CEO, and ultimate #GIRLBOSS, Sophia Amoruso just resigned from her Nasty Gal throne. Sophia shared this with her devoted fanbase on social media: “I can’t wait to unleash my talents and hang with our customers in new ways and to unleash Sheree’s insanely bonkers leadership talent on our team. This is the kind of partnership dreams are made of. And for the record, I ain’t going nowhere.”

While we are completely heartbroken that Sophia is officially stepping down from our favorite badass clothing company – it’s time for her to spread her wings. Since launching her mega-successful book, the #GIRLBOSS brand is booming and we couldn’t think of a better brand to empower females to be influential entrepreneurs and strong women. Alas don’t fear, Nasty Gal will be in the capable hands of current President Sheree Waterson, with help still coming from the mastermind of Sophia Amoruso. So here’s to our inspiring #GIRLBOSS and whatever stellar new adventures she takes on, cheers!

“But here’s the real shit: You can’t have it all, and nothing comes easy. You will make sacrifices and compromises, get let down and let other people down, fail and start over, break some hearts, take some names, and learn to pick up and continue when your own gets broken.”

“You don’t have to choose between smart and sexy. You can have both. You are both.”

“Abandon anything about your life and habits that might be holding you back. Learn to create your own opportunities. Know that there is no finish line; fortune favors action.”
