Selena Gomez’s mom allegedly told her not to work with creep Woody Allen but “it didn’t click”

Seems like Selena Gomez is giving her mother a second dose of teenage rebellion! Apparently, good ol’ Sel is not only ignoring mama Teefey’s boyfriend advice, (hence Mandy’s supposed hospital visit following the discovery of a Jelena reunion), but she’s also turning a blind eye to career wisdom as well.

According to a convo with a fan on Mandy’s Instagram post Monday night, Selena disregarded her mother’s advisement to steer clear of working with Woody Allen, whose daughter Dylan Farrow accused him of molesting her as a child in 1992. He also married his former step-daughter after starting to date her when she was only a teenager. And he made Muriel Hemingway kiss him as part of his movie “Manhattan” when she was a teen. And lots of other gross things, just Google it.

Anyway, after the fan begged Mandy to “make Selena write an apology” for working with a possible sex offender, she replied stating that “No one can make Selena do anything she doesn’t want to” and that she “had a long talk with her about not working with him and it didn’t click.”

Mandy also went on to say that her advice “falls on deaf ears” since Selena “makes all of her own decisions.” Yikes!

Selena spoke about the criticism she received for joining Woody’s film in an interview with Billboard in December, stating that the uproar of sexual assault allegations in Hollywood didn’t occur until after she signed onto the film. When asked if Woody’s past had any influence on her decision making process, she answered:

“To be honest, I’m not sure how to answer — not because I’m trying to back away from it. [The Harvey Weinstein allegations] actually happened right after I had started [on the movie]. They popped up in the midst of it. And that’s something, yes, I had to face and discuss. I stepped back and thought, ‘Wow, the universe works in interesting ways.’ ”

A Rainy Day in New York, is supposed to be released in 2018.
