Sammi Hanratty Talks Instagram, Lip Gloss And Her New TV Role

After sharing the screen with some of Hollywood’s biggest names, Sammi Hanratty is finally ready to break out onto the big screen. Our girl is finally back in a Lifetime movie-makeover of the fan favorite Seeds of Yesterday. Watching a child actress grow up is the peak of human satisfaction and pleasure, and Sammi Hannraty is no exception. In between shots, Sammi chatted about her plans for 2015, her go-to beauty tips and her biggest accomplishment.

How did the Seeds of Yesterday role come to you?

I’ve known about the series for a while because I originally auditioned for Flowers in the Attic and I followed it. After watching the film, I was super intrigued and wanted to be a part of their later projects, so when I found out about the role of Cindy in Seeds of Yesterday I was really excited and wanted to be a part of it.

What’s your biggest accomplishment so far?

I’m definitely proud of Zoe Gone. That was the first time I put a lot of research into a role to be able to play a mom. We filmed it in under a month. With so much chaos and so little time, I’m really proud of what we were able to accomplish.

Tell us more about your character in Seeds of Yesterday.

My character’s name is Cindy in Seeds of Yesterday. She’s a very fun loving, flirty girl who struggles with the love that she has for her brother, Bart, especially when he plays games with her, acting as if he is attracted to her one moment, and the next moment yelling at her and putting her down.

What was the last book you read?

I read scripts more than I read books, but because I’m so obsessed with the movies I really want to read up on Harry Potter.

What would be your ideal role to play?

My ideal role would be to portray a transgendered person who struggles with their faith.
