Los Angeles fashion history was made last night — in fact, you might even say LA fashion history officially began last night.
French photographer, designer, and creative director Hedi Slimane made major waves when he announced he’d show Saint Laurent’s fall and winter 2016 line in Los Angeles instead of New York. The show took place last night and most of the fashion world’s elites made the trek westward to take in Slimane’s interpretation of LA culture.
One of the new models they were watching was Staz Lindes, a 22-year-old LA-raised model and musician who’s the new face of YSL. And it just so happens Galore featured her last June.
Staz is the guitarist of the punk rock band Paranoyds. Her brother Misha, also photographed for Saint Laurent, is the lead singer of famed Los Angeles local band Sad Girl. Dad is Hal Lindes, guitarist of the Dire Straits.

This year I clocked out of the anxiety of Valentine’s Day, trading hearts for sweeter red devils on the island of Martinique. It was the relief I’ve been
