What to Rock at Graduation if Cutesy Dresses Aren’t Your Thing
Am I the only who’s over the traditional grad dress?
No? I thought so.
Any time something requires you to get dress up, you better show out! And graduation isn’t any different.
Graduation is time, where you’re probably not going to see most of the people in your class anymore. So, why go in something expected? So “traditional.” Instead, come through with something etched into their minds forever — make it memorable.
I like to see the unexpected and be the unexpected. So, as a soon to be graduate, I thought I’d give my fellow grads a spark of inspiration for the ceremonious day. And ladies, if you’re not a heel person, don’t feel pressure to wear them. Because when you feel good, you look good.

1. Suit It Up
Pantsuits are a personal favorite of mine. They’re definitely head turners and a sure way to stand out from the crowd. You can do so much with this style — paired with a nice crisp tee, a button up, a nice blouse, or nothing at all (but in grad appropriate way and button up of course).
2. Showing Some Leg In A Short Suit
The next best thing after the pant suit is the short suit. If you aren’t really feeling pants and feeling too covered, try this option. You show off your killer legs without doing too much.
3. Dress To Impress In A Skirt
You can never go wrong with a top and skirt pairing. There are so many styles to choose from — mini, midi, ankle length, fitted, skater, and more. Just look how Ciara does it.

4. Kill It In A One-Piece
Now, these are just a few of the many styles of jumpsuits out there, but it’s probably one of the most easiest options to pick other than a dress. It’s like a one stop shop. All you need is killer pair of shoes (and some accessories, if needed).
