Not Even Rihanna Knows What ‘Hooking Up’ Means
Rihanna seems like an expert when it comes to sex — she did once drop a song called “S&M” and all. But there’s one question that’s so ambiguous that not even she knows how to answer: what does hooking up really mean?
During Rihanna’s recent appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres show, Rihanna and George Clooney played a particularly enjoyable round of Never Have I Ever.
While the entire clip is a must see, the highlight came when Ellen asked Rihanna and George Clooney if they’d ever hooked up in the back of the car. Even though George and Ellen wasted little time before raising up their “I Have” paddle, Rihanna was hesitant to answer the question, asking, “What’s hooking up? That’s a very broad term.”
Although she ultimately let her paddle rest on the ‘I Have‘ side, she went on to elaborate on why it’s just so difficult to know what people mean when they say they hooked up with somebody last night.
“Some people think hooking up is like making out, right? Some people think hooking up is like linking up, like meet me out somewhere and some people think hooking up is like you know, seal the deal and lick the envelope and close it, but I don’t know which one is hooking up,” she said.
Oh, and she may or may not have used her paddle to illustrate the differences between types of hook ups.
