Pharrell Williams Named New Artist-in-Residence at NYU
Pharrell Williams, the legendary performer, songwriter, producer, designer, and entrepreneur, was announced as the new 2015 artist-in-residence at the NYU Tisch School of Arts. He will officially begin his residency with an in-depth career retrospective on October 26th at 7:30pm at New York City’s Town Hall.
According to NYU’s website, Jason King, who will be interviewing Pharrell, will discuss Pharrell’s career, regarding his blending of music, fashion, and design as well as his extensive history as a producer and songwriter in the music industry. As NYU announced, “We are thrilled to welcome Pharrell Williams as our artist in residence for the 50th anniversary year of the Tisch School of Arts. Pharrell is just the kind of artist and entrepreneur that many of our students aspire to become”.
In his recent times, Pharrell has already had quite an impressive track record, from producing the hit single “Happy” and being asked to join the seventh season of “The Voice”, he is only becoming more creative and broadening his horizons. As the year goes on, more events through NYU with Pharrell will be announced for the general public to view.
