Nate Ruess of Fun Goes Solo, Releases “Take it Back” Video
Nate Ruess has released the official music video for “Take It Back”—featuring Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy on guitar—the new single from his soon-to-be-released solo album, Grand Romantic.
The video, directed by feature film director Alistair Legrand, stars Patrick Fischler, who you’ll know from his roles on Lost, Mad Men, and VEEP. Of the video, Nate said, “The only thing better than not having to be in your own video is having someone as cool as Patrick taking your place.. And because of what an incredible job he did, I’m currently holding auditions for someone to do interviews and press photos for me too.”
The feeling is mutual. Patrick said, “I’m a huge fan of Nate, a huge fan of this song and a huge fan of Alistair so needless to say I was a huge fan of this job. I haven’t had this much fun in years.”
See the fruits of this bromantic labor below, and stay tuned; a vinyl version of Grand Romantic will be released in March, with a limited pre-order you can check out here.
